Australian air traffic management provider Airservices has renewed its air traffic management partnerships with the Pacific island states of Nauru and Solomon Islands.

The agreement will extend Airservices’ provision of air navigation at 24,500ft (7,467m) or higher to Solomon Islands until 2018 and Nauru till 2023. Both states will continue to manage their own airspace lower than 24,500ft.

“We have collaborated closely with Nauru and the Solomon Islands for the past decade to provide safe and efficient air traffic management in the Pacific,” says Airservices’ chief executive Margaret Staib.
