Remarketing company Airstream International has sold five Boeing 737-500s owned by Royal Air Maroc's to VX Capital Partners.
The aircraft (MSNs 25317, 26525, 26527, 27679 and 27680) were the last five remaining 737-500s in the RAM fleet. The carrier is phasing out its 737 classics and replacing them with Next Generation aircraft.
According to Flightglobal's Ascend online database, VX Capital Partners acquired the 737-500s via an investment vehicle called V48R-737X5. The aircraft, which are powered by CFM International CFM56-3C1 engines, were manufactured in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995 and 1997, respectively.
Airstream International has closed nine aircraft sales this year.
