UK parts support specialist AJ Walter Aviation is partnering with US maintenance provider Aviation Technical Services (ATS) for component MRO.
The two companies have signed a preliminary co-operation agreement to broaden their respective capabilities and respond better to increasing customer demand for full-service equipment support deals, the UK firm says.
Everett-based ATS - which is a specialist for Boeing 737 and 757 MRO - will thus repair components for the UK company, while AJW will in turn provide access to its stock of Airbus and Boeing aircraft equipment.
AJW says that the partnership will give it better access to potential customer airlines in the USA and also expand the company's range of power-by-the-hour support contracts.
The co-operation between both firms is to be launched by 25 September.
AJW acquired the Montreal component repair of defunct Canadian MRO provider Aveos in 2012 and started operating the facility, dubbed AJW Technique, earlier this year.
