Kuwait-based ALAFCO is the most exposed leasing company to Turkey's Sky Airlines, Flightglobal's Ascend Online database reveals.

The Turkish charter carrier, which has an order for one new Boeing 737-900ER along with two options, mainly operated 737-400 and -900ER fleets.

Two -900ERs were acquired by ALAFCO under a purchase and leaseback agreement in 2009.

Sky Airlines also leased a 1991-vintage 737-400 from AWAS and a 1992-built 737-400 from ILFC. Another 737-400, manufactured in 1997, was under an operating lease contract with KG Aircraft Leasing.

The Antalya-based airline suspended operations on 3 June. It has cited problems collecting money from the European tour operators.
