Alaska Airlines plans to introduce flights from Seattle to Austin on 3 August followed by service from Portland, Oregon to Maui on 7 August.

Additionally the carrier is expanding seasonal Anchorage-Maui service to year-round.

Service to Austin is daily while Alaska's new Portland-Maui route is being offered thrice weekly.

Alaska has no direct competitors operating nonstop on the Seattle-Austin flights. Southwest Airlines offers one-stop and two-stop service, according to schedules in the Innovata database. Alaska will compete with Hawaiian Airlines in the Portland-Maui market.
