Seattle-based Alaska Airlines is forecasting a 4% to 5% increase in passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) during the second quarter compared to a year earlier.

The airline anticipates that PRASM will be between 12 cents and 12.10 cents during the quarter, according to an investor update released today.

Alaska also expects to pay $3.40 per gallon for jet fuel in the quarter, which is up from earlier guidance of $3.39 per gallon.
