Alaska takes delivery of two 737-900ERs

Alaska Airlines has received two Boeing 737-900ERs from the airframer.

The Seattle-based carrier received N407AS (manufacturers serial number 41731) on 17 December and N408AS (41732) on 18 December, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database.

Alaska paid cash for the aircraft, it says.

The airline has outstanding orders for 34 737-900ERs with four delivered, according to Ascend. It also has options for an additional 36 of the type.
