Alaska Air Group will pay a $0.20 per share dividend in December, its first since 1992.
Payments will be made on 4 December to shareholders of the Seattle-based carrier as of 19 November. The airline’s board approved the dividend today.
Dividend payments should total roughly $13.9 million based on the 69,650,542 shares that Alaska had outstanding on 30 September.
Alaska reported a $289 million net profit on $1.56 billion in operating revenue in the third quarter.
Delta Air Lines also announced its first dividend in more than a decade this year, paying $0.06 per share in September.
