Alitalia's administrator has received a €25 million ($37 million) offer for 14 grounded Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft.
Italy's ministry of economic development has recommended that, unless an improved tender is submitted before October 23, the administrator accept the offer.
A €2.5 million deposit accompanies the offer. Any other interested buyers have been advised that only offers for the full lot of 14 aircraft will be accepted.
All tenders received will be examined on October 27.
