All Nippon Airways domestic traffic up 2% in May

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) domestic traffic, as measured in RPKs, increased by 1.6% in May.

Total domestic passenger numbers rose by 1.2% to 3.15 million, while the domestic passenger load factor stood at 58.4%, says the Star Alliance member.

In terms of international traffic, the airline's RPKs fell by 0.2% year on year, while its load factor was 71.5% and passenger numbers decreased by 12% to 480,000.

The volume of international cargo carried by the airline in May increased by 7.9% year on year to 47,000t, while domestic cargo volumes went down by 1.7% to 37,300t.
