Low-cost carrier Allegiant Air will launch non-stop service between Fort Lauderdale and Asheville, North Carolina, from 15 November.
The airline will operate twice weekly on the route, says the Asheville airport. It will be the only carrier operating between the two cities, schedules in Innovata show.
Allegiant already operates non-stop between Orlando Sanford airport and Asheville, a city that it added to its network last November following Southwest Airlines subsidiary AirTran's withdrawal from Asheville.
Allegiant's president Andrew Levy said then that it planned to capitalise on the markets abandoned by AirTran.
