Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air will boost flights to Orlando Sanford International airport from Concord Regional airport in North Carolina from November.
The carrier will operate four flights weekly on the route, up from two currently, says an Allegiant spokesperson.
Allegiant will operate five flights weekly during the peak travel periods like Thanksgiving and Christmas, she adds.
Reports say the airline plans to add new destinations from Concord, but the Allegiant spokesperson says the airline has no specific plans despite having held discussions with the airport on new routes.
The airport is close to Charlotte in North Carolina, and Allegiant is the only scheduled carrier operating there.
