Allegiant unit revenues down 10.4% in June

US low-cost carrier Allegiant Air's passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) declined 10.4% in June compared to the same momth last year.

The carrier's passenger traffic for its scheduled services grew by 9.4% during the month, while capacity increased by 10.3%, leading to a 0.8 percentage point decline in the load factor to 91.6%, says the airline.

Passenger numbers in June increased 8.1% year-on-year to 584,472.

Allegiant expects its scheduled capacity to grow 7% in July and by 15% to 19% in the third quarter. It estimates that its scheduled capacity will grow by 22% to 26% in the fourth quarter.
