The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) has appointed Eduardo Iglesias as executive director, effective 18 September.
Iglesias will be based in Miami and will report to ALTA's president, Roberto Kriete and the members of ALTA´s executive committee. He will replace Alex de Gunten, who led the organisation for the past 10 years.
Most recently, Iglesias was legal vice-president of Avianca.
Prior to that, he was TACA International Airlines' general counsel, where he was responsible for contract negotiations, consumer protection claims, the representation in various legal and regulatory affairs committees and symposiums, and corporate and governmental affairs.
