Maintenance, repair and overhaul firm, Ameco Beijing has completed modifying the cabins of 16 of Air China's Airbus A330-200 aircraft and will begin cabin upgrades on the carrier's Boeing 777 aircraft starting this summer.

The six-month modification programme involved cabin and entertainment systems, which mainly included changes to all seats and the floor, overhead bin modifications and passenger service unit reconfiguration.

The work began in May 2011 at Ameco's A380 hangar. It was the first time Ameco carried out cabin modifications on A330-200s, said the company.
