American Airlines and International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) received approval from the bankruptcy court to enter into a sale-leaseback for a Boeing 737-800 today.
The aircraft, which is registered N903NN (MSN 31153), will be delivered on or around 25 September, according to a filing by the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
ILFC is likely to finance the aircraft on balance sheet with existing funds.
Wilmington Trust is trustee.
The sale-leaseback is part of a deal for 15 737-800s that American and ILFC signed in November 2011, before the airline filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
