American Airlines' flight attendants will vote on the carriers' last, best and final contract offer, following a decision by the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) executive committee today.
"We're pleased our flight attendants will have an opportunity to review and vote on this final offer, and are eager to move forward to the next phase of our restructuring," says American.
APFA says that the vote will conclude on 19 August.
The union returned to talks with the airline after the Allied Pilots Association, which represents American's pilots, decided to put the carrier's offer to a membership vote last month. APFA had rejected the airline's previous offer earlier in June.
The results of voting by American's pilots will be released on 8 August.
