American Airlines will begin new nonstop service between Dallas/Fort Worth International and Edmonton International airports in April 2014.
The once daily flight will be operated by a 128-seat Airbus A319 from 1 April 2014, according to its online reservations system.
The flight will complement existing service on US Airways between Phoenix and Edmonton. Fort Worth, Texas-based American and US Airways merged on 9 December and the two plan to begin codesharing in February 2014.
American, which is a member of the Oneworld alliance, last served Edmonton in September 1996, according to the Airline Route website.
