American Airlines has announced that Los Angeles will be the third destination in the USA for its Boeing 777-300ER in 2013.

The aircraft will take-over the Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier's daily flight between Los Angeles and London Heathrow on 1 June 2013. It currently operates a 247-seat Boeing 777-200 on the route, according to Innovata schedules.

American will first fly the type between Dallas-Fort Worth and Sao Paulo beginning on 13 December, with service between Dallas and London Heathrow beginning on 31 January 2013. The 777-300ER will operate between New York's John F Kennedy and London Heathrow beginning on 14 February 2013.
