ANA domestic passenger traffic down 1.4% in August

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) witnessed a 1.4% decline in domestic passenger traffic in August, as compared with the same period a year earlier.

Domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, increased by 1.8%, while total passenger numbers were 0.7% lower at 3.9 million, said the Star Alliance member. It added that the domestic load factor for the month was 70.7%.

International RPKs increased by 22.7%, ASKs were 24.3% higher and the passenger numbers were up 31.1% at 560,000. The load factor for the month was 82.8%.

The amount of international cargo carried by the airline dropped by 2.5% to 38,100 tonnes, while the domestic cargo grew by 0.1% to 39,900 tonnes.
