ANA domestic passenger traffic down 1.5% in August

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) posted a 1.5% decline in domestic passenger traffic for August, as measured in RPKs, compared with the same period last year.

The airline's domestic passenger capacity, as measured by ASKs, grew by 1.9%, while its domestic passenger numbers declined by 1% to 3.83 million. The domestic passenger load factor in August was 68.3%.

On international routes, the airline's RPKs increased by 12.4%. The carrier's international passenger capacity as measured in ASKs rose by 11% and its passenger numbers grew by 12.2% to 628,000 in August. The international load factor for the month was 83.8%.

The volume of international cargo carried by the airline in July rose by 14% to 43,500t, while its domestic cargo volume fell by 0.4% to 39,800t.
