ANA domestic passenger traffic down 3.5% in February

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) has posted a 3.5% decline in its domestic RPKs in February, compared with the same period a year ago.

Its domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, decreased by 0.2%, while total passenger numbers were down by 3% at 2.82 million, the Star Alliance member said. This resulted in a domestic load factor of 59.9%.

On international routes, the airline's RPKs increased by 17.1%, ASKs rose by 12.7% and passenger numbers rose by 19.9% to 497,000 in January, resulting in a load factor of 75% for the month.

The volume of international cargo carried by the airline in February increased by 24.5% to 42,500t, while domestic cargo volumes increased by 8.8% to 37,100t.
