Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) witnessed a 6.1% decline in domestic passenger traffic in July in comparison with the same month last year.
Domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, increased by 0.9%, while total passenger numbers were 6% lower at 3.3 million, said the Star Alliance member. It added that the domestic load factor was 59.6%, down by 4.4 percentage points from the previous year.
International RPKs increased by 10.3%, ASKs were 18.9% higher and the passenger numbers were up 10.4% at 510,000. The load factor was 76%, down by 5.9 percentage points.
The amount of international cargo carried by ANA increased by 0.6% to 47,200t, while the amount of domestic cargo grew by 2.6% to 41,500t.
