ANA domestic passenger traffic up 24% in April

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) posted 23.9% growth in domestic RPKs in April compared with the same period a year ago.

Its domestic capacity, as measured in ASKs, grew by 4%, while total passenger numbers increased by 23.3% to 2.77 million. This resulted in a domestic load factor of 56.7%.

On international routes, the airline's RPKs increased by 40.4%, ASKs rose by 9% and passenger numbers grew by 37.3% to 512,000 in April, resulting in a load factor of 71.1% for the month.

The volume of international cargo carried by the airline in April increased by 1.7% to 44,900t, while domestic cargo volumes declined by 2.2% to 38,000t.
