Commercial aircraft net orders came in at 302 for September 2013.
In the highlights of the month, Canadian operator WestJet ordered 65 737 Max aircraft for delivery from September 2017. Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling Airlines orderered 62 A320 family aircraft, including 32 for the neo variant. US-based Air Lease Corporation placed orders for 33 787s and 29 737 Max aircraft while Delta Air Lines ordered 30 A321s and ten A330s.
New orders for Airbus totalled 170 while Boeing received 126. Embraer, Cessna and AVIC received three, two and one respectively.
In the narrowbody market, 117 A320 family aircraft were ordered including 44 for the re-engined neo. A total of 83 737s were ordered including 69 for the Max variant. In the widebody market, 43 787s, 43 A350s and ten A330s were ordered. The regional aircraft orders included three 195s, two 208 Caravans and a single MA60.
Overall, the commercial aircraft order backlog ended September at 12,034, up 36 on the previous month.
