Indonesian airport operator Angkasa Pura II (AP II) posted a net profit of Rp1.03 trillion ($88.2 million) in 2013, a 15.3% decline compared with Rp1.22 trillion a year earlier.
Total operating revenue rose 5.2% to Rp4.2 trillion, up from Rp3.99 trillion in 2012. Profit before tax declined 9.9% to Rp1.5 trillion, says the state-owned firm in its 2013 annual report.
Airports under the AP II banner handled 86.3 million passengers in 2013, an increase of 5.3% from the previous year. Aircraft movements rose 5.8% to 647,323, while cargo movements grew by a marginal 0.1% to 765.8t, it adds.
Angkasa Pura II operates 13 airports in western Indonesia, such as Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta and Halim Perdanakusuma airports, Padang’s Minangkabau and Medan’s Kuala Namu International airport.
