The Australian Government has selected Air New Zealand (ANZ) to operate air services from both Brisbane and Sydney to Norfolk Island.

The carrier will initially operate twice-weekly-service from Brisbane and Sydney to Norfolk Island, with services to commence on 2 March 2012, said ANZ. ANZ will deploy Airbus A320 aircraft on the routes.

The Australian services will complement ANZ's weekly services between Auckland and Norfolk Island. The airline will now fly five days a week into Norfolk Island from either Australia or New Zealand.

According to Innovata, Our Airline also operates direct flights from Brisbane and Sydney to Norfolk Island.
