Apollo Aviation has purchased three Boeing 737-500s (25001, 25008, 25009) aircraft from Aircastle Investment.

The first aircraft was built in 1990 and is equipped with CFM56-3B2 engines. The remaining aircraft were built in 1991 and equipped with CFM56-3C1 engines.

All three aircraft were previously operated by S7 Airlines.

The acquisition follows the purchase of seven Boeing 737-300s with CFM56-3B1 engines earlier this year from AirAsia. The first four aircraft, built in 1985, were in operations with Thai AirAsia. The remaining three aircraft were built in 1985 and 1987 and were in operations with Indonesia AirAsia.
