Apollo Aviation Group has acquired the two Airbus A340-300s that were sold by Gulf Air.
The Middle Eastern carrier announced the sale late last month but would not identify the buyer.
Both aircraft (MSN 39, 40) are 1994-vintage models and are powered by CFM56-5C3/F engines.
The first aircraft was built in April 1994 and was briefly leased to Air Mauritius in 1996. The second aircraft was built in June 1994 and was briefly leased to Philippine Airlines in 1996.
Gulf Air owns five of the nine A340s in its fleet, but has indicated that it would dispose of the aircraft as part of its restructuring.
