Rosario, Argentina-based regional carrier Sol Lineas Aereas, has announced that it has obtained the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, which will enable it to enter codeshare agreements with international airlines.

Sol, which flies Saab 340A/B aircraft, is Argentina's principal turboprop operator. The airline entered last month a commercial alliance with SkyTeam member Aerolineas Argentinas. The IOSA registry will enable the airline to eventually codeshare with Aerolineas Argentinas' international partners on its network that covers 18 destinations in Argentina and two in Uruguay.
