Arinc Direct has received its operational licence from the US Federal Communications Commission for its SkyLink satellite broadband service for business aircraft and has launched service coverage throughout North American airspace. Gulfstream, the launch customer for SkyLink, offers the system as standard equipment on the G350, G450, G500, and G550 business jets. SkyLink offers a range of business applications including internet access, email, and corporate intranet access. Arinc also plans an in-flight video conferencing and telephony service.
