Airlines using the north wing of Tokyo Narita airport’s Terminal 1 have awarded Arinc a contract to provide common-use self-service (CUSS) check-in kiosks for international passengers.

Arinc says in a statement that it will install 126 CUSS kiosks in the north wing under the contract. It earlier won a separate contract to provide 126 kiosks at Narita by airlines using the south wing of the terminal.

“The two projects are the largest single deployments of CUSS kiosks ever commissioned in the Asia Pacific region,” says Arinc.

The SelfServ CUSS kiosks will have the capability to print thermal receipts, and read passports and scan barcodes, it adds.

Airlines using the north wing of Narita airport’s Terminal 1 include Aeromexico, Aircalin, Air France, Alitalia, British Airways, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, KLM, Korean Air, Northwest Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
