Hugh Parry, one of the founders of London Gatwick-based aircraft management and leasing company Astraeus Airlines has made a surprise return to the business as chief executive.
No reasons have been given for his decision to rejoin the company, however Astraeus has been without a permanent chief executive since the departure of Mario Fulgoni who left the business in August.
Parry served at Astraeus from its inception in 2002 until 2007 when he left to pursue other interests.
Astraeus operates a fleet of 10 Boeing 737 and 757 aircraft, primarily on ACMI contracts with a number of airlines,
It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eignarhaldsfelagid Fengur HF which also owns carrier Iceland Express.
