Astronics has entered into agreements with a network of 20 North American dealer/installers for the sale and installation of its Empower in-seat power supply system on business aircraft.
The agreement covers 50 locations across the USA and Canada.
The 28VDC to 115VAC Empower in-seat power supply system was launched into the business jet market in 2008. "Weighing only two pounds, each inverter supports up to three outlets," says Astronics, noting that outlet units are available in a variety of colours.
The firm says it is "committed to making the necessary power products available in response to the growing demand for productivity on-board today's business aircraft".
For over 15 years, Astronics has provided in-seat powerports to the commercial airline market.
