The Air Transport Association of America (ATA) has appointed Christine Burgeson as senior vice president, global government affairs, with effect from today.

Burgeson was previously a senior lobbyist for former US President George W. Bush and Citigroup.

Most recently, she headed her own consulting firm in Washington, CMB Insights.

"ATA is building a world-class government affairs and policy team and Christine is a critical addition; she is a first-rate strategist and a proven leader," said ATA president and CEO Nicholas E. Calio.
