Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings has announced the election of Duncan McNabb USAF (Ret.) to the company's board of directors.
McNabb was the commander of the air mobility command from 2005 to 2007 and the commander of the United States transportation command (USTRANSCOM) from 2008 to 2011. USTRANSCOM is the single largest logistics provider for air, land and sea transportation for the department of defense (DOD).
Eugene Davis, chairman of the board, Atlas Air Worldwide, says: "His experience in the global effort to transport and supply our troops, one of our key services, will be especially helpful as we develop future strategies for long-term growth."
McNabb commanded more than $56 billion in strategic transportation assets, 150,000 service personnel and a worldwide command and control network.
