Russia's Atran Airlines has contracted UK-based Airlines Services Components for rotable equipment support on its Boeing 737 freighter fleet.

The carrier started operating a 737-400F in August but plans to introduce a second of the type this month and a third one in the first quarter next year.

The Moscow-Domodedovo-based airline has inked a three-year power-by-hour-type support contract for nose-to-tail components, excluding landing gears, says ASC.

The maintenance provider will locate a base kit at the aircraft's operational hub in Cologne, Germany and support further material from its warehouse in London Gatwick.
