Auckland International Airport has appointed Adrian Littlewood as its new chief executive, effective 12 November.
Littlewood, the airport's current general manager of retail and commercial, replaces Simon Moutter who has resigned to head New Zealand Telecom.
Under his leadership, Auckland airport will continue to grow through innovation and capital investment, says Littlewood.
"We will continue to work closely with our partners in the tourism and trade sectors to make the most of the opportunities that exist as we move ahead to finalise our master plan of airfield, terminal and land development to meet New Zealand's needs," he adds.
Littlewood joined the airport in 2009 and has helped grown the company's non-aeronautical annual revenue to NZ$166 million ($137 million), which accounts for 40% of the airport's income.
Simon Robertson, who was the acting chief executive, will return to his role as chief financial officer after leading the airport during the interim period.
