Auckland International Airport has reported a growth in international traffic while domestic throughput in March dipped slightly.
International passenger traffic, excluding transits, grew 0.1% to 569,000. Traffic declined from Hong Kong, Sydney and Los Angeles in particular, this was offset by increased traffic from Melbourne and Singapore. Jetstar Asia commenced flights to Singapore in March, says the airport.
International passenger traffic, including transits, increased 1.4% to 641,000. Domestic passenger traffic dipped 0.6% to 565,000, it adds.
Total aircraft movements decrease 1.6% to 13,600 in March. International aircraft movements were 5% higher at 3,770, while domestic aircraft movements fell 3.9% to 9,840.
