Aeroflot has handed down a first Airbus A319 to far-eastern subsidiary Aurora ahead of the winter season.

The twinjet, in service with Aeroflot since 2004, has been repainted in Aurora's white and blue colour scheme at Eirtech Aviation's painting facility in Ostrava in the Czech Republic

Aeroflot is to transfer several more A319s from its fleet to Aurora shortly. During the winter season, the narrowbodies, alongside A320-200s formerly operated by Vladivostok Avia, will be deployed on scheduled routes to Harbin, Pusan, Sapporo and Seoul.

Aeroflot's board of directors has also decided to extend a Rb430 million ($13.5 million) loan to Aurora until 2017. "The loan is intended to help it finance resource-mobilisation expenditures," says Aeroflot.
