Australia’s Skywest passenger traffic up 47% in Jan

Australian regional carrier Skywest has posted a 47% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, for January.

Passenger numbers for the reporting month grew by 32% to 26,000, compared with the same month last year.

Its passenger capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose by 35%, while passenger load factor increased by 4.6 percentage points to 53% during the month, says the airline.
