Australian carrier Skywest Airlines will halve its Port Hedland-Denpasar frequency to once weekly, starting 16 March.
Skywest, however, will continue to operate twice weekly frequencies during selected periods, says the airline.
"Unfortunately due to the inconsistency of passenger numbers, the existing number of return services between Port Hedland and Denpasar are no longer feasible during low demand periods," says Skywest's chief executive Jason Bitter.
Innovata schedules show that Skywest is the only operator on the route. It is also using Fokker 100 aircraft to serve the route.
