While battles continue between aluminum and composite suppliers for material supply to unmanned vehicle manufacture, a third option is being promoted at the show.
Magnesium Elektron is showing the strength and weight properties of magnesium for varied applications. "With anything from helmets through to gimbals and structural parts, magnesium is easier to machine than aluminum and is lighter. For the helmets it also has greater dampening properties," said Steve Hill.
