Singapore-based lessor Avation has exercised options for four ATR72-600s. Three of the options had been previously announced, while the fourth follows Virgin Australia's request for an additional aircraft in 2013.

The four aircraft will be delivered to the Australian Regional Airline Network (ARAN), an alliance between Avation, Australia's Skywest Airlines and Virgin Australia, during 2013 and 2014.

The company has also exercised purchase rights for an additional three ATR72-600 aircraft, which are scheduled to be delivered in 2014. These bring the total number of aircraft ordered by Avation from ATR to 20.

Avation has taken delivery of nine ATR72 aircraft to date - including two acquired from a third party - while 13 additional units are scheduled to arrive by the end of 2014.
