Canadian maintenance provider Aveos has signed up to Airbus's automated inventory management service.

The service, known as Airbus Managed Inventory (AMI), will automatically replenish proprietary parts by the airframer across Aveos's facilities.

The Montreal-based company has different sites in Canada and owns narrowbody airframe maintenance specialist Aeroman in El Salvador.

Aveos vice-president supply chain management Jean Clermont said that automating the procurement process would "significantly" reduce indirect ordering and inventory holding costs.
