Avianca has closed the refinancing of a total of three Airbus A319/A320 aircraft that first delivered in the second quarter of last year.
Avianca mandated Natixis Transport Finance and Citi as joint arrangers of an Export Credit Agencies supported facility covering the three aircraft. The refinancing is funded by Citi, who is also the national agent. Natixis Transport Finance is the facility agent in the transaction.
Initially the three aircraft were financed by Natixis Transport Finance and KfW through a commercial loan.
The three aircraft, one A319 and two A320s delivered new to Avianca in May 2010. The two Airbus A320-200s (MSNs 4281, 4284) are powered by CFM56-5B4/3 engines. The A319 (MSN 4287), which is operated by Avianca Brasil, is equipped with CFM56-5B7/3 engines.
