Avianca has issued a request for proposals for financing for its upcoming Boeing 787 deliveries through 2015, say banking sources.

The Bogota-based carrier will receive its first 787-8 on 15 September, followed by three deliveries each month through the end of the year, according to Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database. Next year the airline will receive three 787s in April, May and September.

Avianca is considering a wide mix of financing options, says a banker, including sale and leasebacks, US Export-Import Bank guaranteed-funding and plain-vanilla aircraft loans.
