Latin American airline group Avianca-TACA has approached financiers with a request for proposals for the financing of three new Airbus deliveries.
The aircraft, one Airbus A330-200 freighter, one A319 and one A321 aircraft are scheduled to deliver in the first quarter of next year.
One banking source says Avianca-TACA is looking for export credit agency (ECA) supported proposals that will be fronted by Euler Hermes.
Bids for the first shortlist have to be submitted by 15 November 2013.
The A319 will be delivered to Colombian carrier Avianca while the A321 aircraft will be operated by TACA International Airlines.
JP Morgan financed a new Airbus A330-200 freighter aircraft delivered earlier this week to Avianca Cargo. The aircraft (MSN 1448) is the fourth A330-200 freighter delivered to the cargo carrier. The finance term is 12 years.
According to last week, Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database, the next A330-200 freighter is scheduled for February2014 and the carrier will take two additional units in July and October next year.
