Avianca has increased the frequency of flights between Bogota and Havana.
The Star Alliance carrier is now operating five weekly flights on the route, up from four. Avianca operates Airbus A318 aircraft between the two cities, configured for 100 passengers - 12 in business class and 88 in economy.
The airline will compete against Copa Airlines and Cubana on the route, schedules in Innovata show. Copa flies thrice weekly while Cubana offers weekly service on the route.
Avianca also serves Havana from Lima and San Salvador. With the additional Havana flights, Avianca will operate about 50 weekly flights to the Caribbean, it says.
