AviancaTaca plans Medellin-San Salvador flight

Latin American airline group AviancaTaca will launch non-stop service between Medellin in Colombia and San Salvador from January 2013.

The Star Alliance carrier will operate four-times weekly on the route, using Taca's Embraer 190 aircraft with capacity for 96 passengers.

AviancaTaca chief executive Fabio Villegas says that the new route will give passengers the opportunity to connect to multiple destinations in North America and the Caribbean through the airline's hub in San Salvador.
